About Accent Remodel & Design

Remodeling, Design & Cleaning Services Since 1986

For nearly 40 years, Accent Remodel & Design has operated as a trusted remodeling company in Fargo, helping homeowners, businesses, and property owners improve the spaces where they live and work.

Founded in 1986 by Mike Arnold, Accent was built on a passion for remodeling and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. In 2008, Tom Spaeth joined as a partner, bringing a lifetime of construction experience and helping expand the remodeling side of the business.

Today, our team has grown to more than 50 dedicated employees who share a common goal: helping clients create spaces that are functional, beautiful, and built to last. As Accent Kitchen & Bath becomes Accent Remodel & Design, we’re continuing the same trusted craftsmanship and personalized service under a name that better reflects what we do today.

Our Story

Accent Remodel & Design was founded in 1986 by Mike Arnold, whose passion for remodeling began during his high school and college years. In 2008, Tom Spaeth joined as a partner, bringing a lifetime of construction experience and helping expand the remodeling side of the business.

Over the last 40 years, Accent has grown into a team of more than 50 dedicated employees and has helped transform thousands of residential and commercial properties throughout the Fargo-Moorhead region. While the company has expanded over the decades, our mission has remained the same: deliver exceptional workmanship while creating a better experience for every client.

Built Around the Customer Experience

From the beginning, we believed homeowners deserved more than the traditional independent contractor approach. That’s why we invested in a large, hands-on showroom where clients can explore materials, compare options, and visualize their projects in one place.

Combined with our design-first approach and commitment to accountability throughout every stage of the project, we strive to make remodeling more organized, collaborative, and enjoyable. Today, Accent Remodel & Design provides remodeling, design, cleaning, restoration, and light commercial services while remaining focused on quality craftsmanship, strong relationships, and helping clients create spaces they love.
